Marquee Festival Wedding in Kilkenny

Margaret and Dan didn’t just plan a wedding - they built a full-blown weekend festival of love on Dan’s family property in Kilkenny, and every detail felt like them.

The day began quietly at Mount Juliet Estate with an emotional, intimate civil ceremony where Margaret wore her mother’s beautiful vintage dress. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room! Then the celebrations moved home… and the party started.

Their property transformed into a mushroom-and-disco music festival. Dan, a tree surgeon by trade, handcrafted the long timber tables in the tent himself, and together they created handmade signs, a custom bar, and a stage for multiple live bands. Under a tree, surrounded by friends and family, they held a second ceremony that honoured the people who shaped their lives, and their beautiful love story. Then the food trucks rolled in, a mushroom cake appeared, and guests embraced the spirit of the weekend with dress-ups and dancing late into the night.

It was joyful, personal and SO much fun. This was a wedding that felt less like an event and more like a celebration of community, music, gratitude and two people wildly happy to be married and so in love!
